Staveley Head is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Executive Board of Directors. Craig Shaw, formerly Operations Manager and Deborah Hughes, formerly Schemes Underwriting Manager will join the board effective immediately.

Craig, as Director of Operations, will continue to embrace and advance the operational side of the company. With the substantial business growth we are currently witnessing, its direction is of paramount importance and we believe Craig is the best person to oversee this development.”
“Deborah has been promoted to Director of Underwriting. She will continue to be responsible for all aspects of underwriting and development of our MGA and scheme facilities and will continue to advance products and widen footprints for existing and new areas. Broker development and insurer contact will also continue to fall under her remit.”

About Craig Shaw:
Craig’s broking career began in 1995 with Colonnade Insurance, advancing quickly to senior sales executive and achieving the accolade of becoming Colonnade’s youngest branch manager. Following Colonnade’s acquisition by Swinton Insurance in 2001 Craig continued to progress and managed several branches before becoming appointed as Area Manager. Craig joined Staveley Head in January 2013 as Operations Manager and has been instrumental in its continued growth.
About Deborah Hughes:
Deborah started her career with Independent Insurance before progressing through the ranks at Zurich Insurance to Senior Portfolio Development Underwriter. Deborah joined Staveley Head in September 2013 and has been responsible for designing product rating and underwriting logic and considerably widening the footprint of the company.
