Remember to check the weather a few days before you travel so that you’ll be prepared come rain or snow.
Plan your route
Check your route options before you set off, especially if conditions are bad and you’re towing a caravan – you don’t want to risk getting stuck on a remote road. There are plenty of useful smartphone apps to help you travel safe.
Check your insurance
Whether you’re travelling by car, motorhome or with a caravan be sure to check your insurance. The last thing you need is for anything to happen and discover you’re not covered.
And finally; pack well
Fill your backpack to the brim – you’ll need it! Take waterproof clothing, along with thick jumpers or fleeces to keep you warm. Shoes aren’t just important to the fashion conscious! You’ll need to equip yourself with walking and waterproof shoes as well as lightweight pumps or plimsolls for the evenings. And don’t forget those all-important wellies.
