An approved mechanic will aim to get you moving ASAP. If your vehicle can’t be fixed where it is, we’ll get it to a local garage.

Gives you recovery to any single destination, overnight accommodation or use of a hire car for 24 hours (provided where necessary).
European
Assistance across the continent, including repatriation (where required). Really useful if you holiday/work and drive abroad.
Trailers & Caravans
Trailers and caravans covered up to 8m in length.
Misfuelling Cover
This happens! If it does, we will arrange for your fuel tank to be drained, flushed and refilled with up to 10l of the correct fuel.
Vehicle Cover
This cover is for the vehicle itself so any driver is covered here.
Are there any exclusions to this policy?
Here are some of the exclusions:
- Any claims within 24 hours of the policy inception are only entitled to local recovery
- Flat tyres, where no serviceable spare is present unless the vehicle is designed not to carry one
- For European cover, the vehicle will not be repatriated if the cost of doing so exceeds the market value of the car

Does your breakdown insurance also cover classic cars?
Yes, it does. For classic car cover, the vehicle must be over 15 years old and be insured on a Classsic Car policy with limited annual mileage.
What's the difference between vehicle and personal cover?
With vehicle cover, any authorised driver who has a breakdown in the vehicles is protected. Personal protection covers you as the driver or passenger in any eligible vehicle. Therefore if you’re in a car when it breaks down, you can call for assistance even if you’re not driving it at the time.
Will you return my vehicle to the UK if I breakdown on the continent?
Yes, although the vehicle will not be repatriated if the cost of doing so is more than the market value of the car.
Does my policy include towing?
If your vehicle can’t be fixed at the side of the road, we will tow it to an approved local garage for you.
Will you replace a flat tyre?
Yes, no problem. If you have a serviceable spare tyre we will change it.
To make a claim
All claims, or incidents that may give rise to a claim, must be reported as soon as reasonably possible by calling 0345 600 5801.
When you call the Claims Helpline, we will record all the details of your incident. We’ll also confirm whether your policy covers you for what’s happened, any excess that you’ll have to pay and the steps involved in making your claim (which we’ll manage on your behalf).
When calling the Claims Helpline, please have your policy number to hand. This helps us to find your policy records quickly and deal with your call as efficiently as possible. If you can’t find it, please don’t let this delay your reporting of the incident.
