Our types of travel cover?
Single Trip: A single trip policy covers you for one holiday. The trip duration can be from 1 -365 days and can be arranged up to 20 months in advance. Cancellation cover on a Single Trip Policy starts from the moment you buy it, so you are immediately protected if you need to cancel for an insured reason.
Annual Multi-Trip: Going abroad more than once in the next 12 months? An annual policy maybe better suited for more frequent travellers who require cover for as many trips as you need over the period of one year. You pay once for 12 months cover and have protection for an unlimited number of holidays within that period. It is worthwhile noting that each trip has a limit of up to 93 days.
Family Travel Insurance: Looking to go away with your family? You can choose a family policy which provides cover for up to two adults and four dependent children (under 18). For larger groups you can select a group policy
Travel insurance for over 65s: We provide single trip policies with no age limit. If you’re a frequent traveller, we can provide an annual multi-trip policy for all ages subject to medical screening and other personal circumstances.

Frequently asked questions about travel insurance
I haven’t booked my trip yet; can I still buy my insurance?
Yes, you can set your cover to start whenever you like. With pre-existing medical conditions, it’s often best to ensure you can get sufficient travel insurance before booking your trip.
I have a Global Health Insurance Card. Do I still need travel insurance?
Yes. Whilst an GHIC card will ensure you receive the same level of treatment as a citizen of the country you’re in, it doesn’t cover you for things like cancellation or delay and it won’t provide repatriation cover if you need to return to the UK. It’s also not valid on cruises or outside of certain European countries.
What if there are changes to my health after I’ve purchased my cover?
If there are any changes to the health of you or family members you must tell us before taking any future trips. We can then amend the policy for you and there may be an additional premium to pay.
What happens if my travel provider goes out of business?
Included in our gold policies and as an add on for silver and bronze Travel insurance policies, we have end supplier failure insurance. This covers you if your travel or accommodation providers cease trading before departure.
Will my policy cover pre-existing conditions?
Working with a panel of insurers we can offer cover for hundreds of pre-existing medical conditions. When completing the medical screening online or over the phone, declare all pre-existing conditions and we can help find the best policy for you explaining any exclusions along the way.
Can I set my annual insurance to start the day before my first trip?
Annual multi-trip policies can start as soon as a trip is booked or up to 90 days in advance this ensures cover for loss of deposit and cancellation charges.
What documents do I need to take on holiday with me?
You have access to all your Travel Insurance documents online through our ‘My account’ feature. If you wish to carry documentation on you, we recommend you take your travel insurance certificate and the relevant policy wording in case you need to make a claim.
Can I get immediate cover?
Absolutely. Single trip policies start with immediate effect and you can request an annual policy to start up to 90 days in advance. We recommended securing your travel insurance as soon as you book to ensure you’re protected against cancellation.
Will my policy cover me on a cruise?
Yes, we offer a specialised cruise cover plus additional benefits with some policies such as cabin confinement and missed port departure. Just make sure you answer YES to the cruise question and we will show you the relevant options
Does my policy cover winter sports?
We can include cover for winter sports as part of your travel insurance policy, although there may be a small additional charge to do so.
