Vehicle Smart
This nifty app will ensure you never buy a dodgy car again. The Vehicle Smart app provides MOT and tax data for all UK cars, motorbikes, vans and HGV’s and allows you to add your own vehicles for easy access. You can even add reminders to your added vehicles 7, 14 and 30 days before to remind you of key dates like replacing a CAM belt or the oil. With this app, you can manage all your vehicles from your phone and keep them in tip-top condition for however long they remain on the forecourt.
Glass’s Motoring Guide
This is the perfect app to add to your arsenal of motor trade apps. With Glass’s Motoring Guide all you need to do is simply input the registration number and mileage, and the app will come back with a valuation. Better yet, it works offline too so you can get an estimate valuation by just adding the vehicle make, model and mileage.
Tire PSI
According to UTires, Tyres can lose around 1-3 psi per month through permeation. Whilst this may seem like a minor issue, tyre rolling resistance accounts for 20% of a vehicles fuel consumption and under or over-inflated tyres can also affect vehicle handling. Getting your tyre pressure right is not only essential if you want to give your customer a smoother test drive, but is key to saving yourself money on fuel. With most onboard computers, you can diagnose whether the tyre pressure of a car is sufficient or not but not all cars are blessed with this hi-tech computing. With the Tire PSI app, you can type in just about any model of a vehicle, and it’ll give you the recommended tyre pressure. Osram Vehicle Light app
There’s nothing worse than striking a deal with a customer and then a day later hearing those three dreaded words…”The bulbs gone”. The next battle is getting the right bulb. With the OSRAM Vehicle Light app, you can find out the lamp required for each of your vehicles when the bulb breaks on the headlight beams, indicator, brake lights, and reversing lights.
Dealer Trade
The Dealer Trade app was made by three ex Manheim employees and is a trading platform built exclusively for car dealers, allowing registered dealers to buy and sell stock. With this app, you can connect to a network of dealerships across the country and compare your prices with that of your competitors. The app can even notify you when vehicles of your preference are listed, so you don’t waste valuable time searching for stock.
