Exploring the UK, visiting new places, discovering amazing villages, beaches, lakes and woodlands… that’s the dream when you go on your first motorhome holiday. But for some reason we all end up going to the same place year after year.
But not any longer! Now you can quickly and easily plan your next break to somewhere new and amazing with our great interactive UK Campsite Finder tool
How it works
Simply click on a country or area and you’ll see two of our recommendations. Click on each suggestion and you’ll discover everything the caravan park has to offer from the onsite amenities to local attractions. And booking can be done in seconds with full details of each caravan park displayed.
So whether you fancy a quiet escape fishing in West Scotland, or a break filled with adventure exploring the peaks of Southern Wales, or even a night out on the town in London we know where to take you. Some are upmarket, some less so, but all have their own charm.
Tried and tested
During our research we decided to get out there and visit some of the campsites ourselves to see exactly what they have to offer. And here are a few of our favourites:
Tattershall Lakes
There is so much to do here you’ll never hear the children say they’re bored again. Caravans, wooden lodges, wild camping and even glamping are all catered for here. As it’s right by the lake you can go wakeboarding and jet ski-ing and even if it’s raining – and let’s face it, you are in the UK – there’s an indoor heated swimming pool, open air hot tubs, a spa and a gym. Plus there’s golf, a beach area, entertainment for the kids and the Boathouse Bar for you.
Doe Park Camping and Farm
Doe Park dates back to the 1520s and today the lovely Lamb family manage this historic site, the livestock farm and caravan site alongside each other. And they do a pretty job of it, too. The kids will abolutley love this place and you can all explore nearby Bernard Castle, High Force waterfall, the Pennine Way, Hamsterley forest and the wonderful Teesdale Railway Walk. Plus there’s sailing, golf, horse riding and fishing!
Beech Croft Farm
Next, we spent some time at Beech Croft Farm in East Scotland. This is an amazing place to come and relax and we have to say the Gregory family looked after us superbly. There are all these open spaces for the kids to play in, the tiny village of Blackwell is nearby with its handful of historic houses and farms and The Queen’s Arms in Taddington just down the road is a superb pub you have to try. There are Farmer’s Markets always going on so you can eat pretty well here, too.
